Sulzer has introduced the launch of the world’s largest medium-consistency pump, the MCE93-400, which has been inbuilt response to customer demand for greater production charges in pulp mills.
The pumping of liquids with a high dry solids content – medium consistency – is important for processes within the pulp and paper business.
In recent years, manufacturing rates have spiralled. As a outcome, Sulzer developed the MCE93-400 for a customer project with record-breaking values.
The capability of the pump reaches as much as 10,000 air dry metric tonnes per day with the flow as much as 940 l/s and the head as a lot as one hundred eighty m. The MCE pump is designed for a stress score of 25 bar.
