KSB has announced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase enlargement of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the expansion have been approved in 2013 in response to rising market demand for bigger gear. Since then, the Grovetown facility has accomplished upgrades, added tens of hundreds of square toes to its foundry, increased furnace capacity, completed construction on a distribution centre, and won approval for 3 extra phases of enchancment.
With the completion of the challenge, KSB has quadrupled its capability to mold castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), elevated its maximum pouring output by up to 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), decreased the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added special cleansing stations for big castings, implemented new know-how and effectivity solutions, and doubled worker locker room services.
KSB went forward with the project’s completion, regardless of the Covid-19 pandemic and its financial fallout.

In 2020, the KSB Group launched KSB Mining, a new market-driven organization providing expertise on centrifugal pumps to mining operations.
