A leading Kenyan warehouse and logistics service supplier Cold Solutions, says it’s going to invest USD 70 million to construct the largest cold chain facility in East Africa to deal with challenges that face transportation of perishable goods.
Cold Solution’s 15,000 sqm flagship facility in Tatu City Special Economic Zone in Nairobi would be the largest, most superior and efficient within the area. The chilly chain facility is flexibly designed to cater for quite a few temperature ranges from +26 to -40 C and multiple product ranges, from contemporary fruit and greens, to prescribed drugs and vaccines, meats and poultry, and frozen foods.
Cold Solutions Kenya is a portfolio firm of ARCH Cold Chain Solutions East Africa Fund, a non-public equity fund advised by ARCH Emerging Markets Partners Limited (ARCH).
