Indonesia has determined to boost Jakarta’s provincial minimal wage (Upah Minimum Provinsi) beginning in 2022 as its economic development is predicted to succeed in 4.3% at the same time.
Odd was made for the profit of the community, especially workers from various departments who were targeted by the influence of the Covid-19 outbreak, according to Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria.
He said that the monetary burden on workers throughout a pandemic can be lowered by increasing UMP, though it won’t satisfy everyone, adding that “it is for the widespread profit.”

According to Governor Anies Baswedan, Jarkata’s UMP will be elevated by 5.1% to Rp4,641,854 (US$ 325) subsequent yr, up from 0.85% to Rp4,453,935 (US$ 312) before.
“We hope that the purchasing power of individuals and workers is not going to fall on account of this UMP hike.”
