Kriengkrai Thiennukul, chairman of the FTI, lately met with the Chinese ambassador to Thailand, Han Zhiqiang, to discuss potential investment opportunities. Kriengkrai envisions Thailand as a production base for Chinese firms, appearing as a gateway to the ASEAN area.
