KSB has announced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase enlargement of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.
The expanded GIW manufacturing advanced in Grovetown.
The first two phases of the enlargement have been approved in 2013 in response to growing market demand for larger gear. Since then, the Grovetown facility has completed upgrades, added tens of hundreds of sq. toes to its foundry, increased furnace capacity, accomplished construction on a distribution centre, and gained approval for three further phases of enchancment.
With the completion of the challenge, KSB has quadrupled its capability to mould castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), elevated its maximum pouring output by up to 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), lowered the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added special cleaning stations for large castings, applied new know-how and effectivity options, and doubled employee locker room services.
KSB went forward with the project’s completion, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.
“Our customers in the mining business are doing essential work to maintain the economy afloat. KSB is extra dedicated than ever to offering our companions with an uninterrupted provide of pumps and parts. Completing this growth improves our capacity to serve our prospects, and we’ll cease at nothing to support the success of our clients’ operations,” says Wolfgang Demmler, president of KSB Mining.
In 2020, the KSB Group launched KSB Mining, a new market-driven organization providing expertise on centrifugal pumps to mining operations.
The expanded facilities in Grovetown serve as the headquarters of GIW Slurry Pumps.
GIW presently employs over เกจวัดแรงดันน้ำดิจิตอล at its Grovetown facility.
